The Twelve Apostles
About this place
One of the great Australian drives. Plan for stops, not speed — the side trips off the main road are where the magic lives. Fuel up where you can; gaps between stations get long after Apollo Bay.

Solid choice, busy on weekends
Quality is consistent which I really appreciate. Tip: arrive before noon on a Saturday or you'll be queueing twenty minutes for a table.

Felt safe and welcoming
Travelling solo and was a bit nervous about the area but it was completely fine — well lit at night, lots of families around. Would happily come back.

Good not great
Nothing wrong with it, but I'm not sure I'd make a special trip. Worth tacking onto something else you're already doing in the area.

Better than the photos suggest
We went on a Saturday morning and stayed three hours longer than planned. Staff were lovely, the views are everything you've heard about, and the photos honestly don't do it justice. Will absolutely be bringing the rest of the family next time.
